CCG Computer Donations
Michelle West Statement
Through the generous computer donations provided by The Carolina Components
Group, various institutions and organizations in Jamaica have experienced
transformative impacts. The lives of community members participating in programs run
by churches like Bamboo New Testament and Bezer Pentecostal Church, as well as
students and teachers at schools like Lilly-Field Basic School, Freehill Infant and
Primary, and Bamboo Basic and Primary, have been significantly impacted by these
donations.
The method that education is taught in these schools has been completely transformed
by the computers donated from the Carolina Group. Now that they have access to
information and technologies that improve their teaching strategies, teachers may better
engage their students and raise learning outcomes. As a result of their exposure to
technology, students are acquiring vital 21st-century abilities that will help them in their
future academic and professional endeavors.
Additionally, by using the computers to start adult literacy programs, the churches and
schools along with the learning facilities have given community members who don’t
know the basics of literacy the chance to become better readers and writers through
their evening classes known as Program for Lifelong Learners. These programs have
changed the lives of adult learners by boosting their confidence and providing
opportunities for both career and personal development.
The generosity of the Carolina Components Group exemplifies the significant knock-on
effects of giving back, as it encourages and enables communities to realize their
greatest potential. The Jamaican community in Bamboo, St. Ann is grateful for the
kindness extended to them.
